For those who kept their eyes shut for the last decade, i m shure that “Bear + Germany = Knut…”

For the others, of course Flying Fortress who comes to their minds. FF has spread is Teddy Troops around the world on walls of course, but also on vinyl toys, canvases, t-shirts and has now his own book. Recently, he was one of the 4 artists painting the huge  Turnkunst monument, (you ll find more pictures about it on Just’s ekoblog). Check Mr FF ‘s Blog for its latest news!

So today, our jukebox driver is pushing the faders up for a “back-in-the-80′s” selecta with amazing designs !

Flying Fortress’ TOP 15

1 Die Goldenen Zitronen “Kampfstern Mallorca dockt an” (1988)

German fun punk from 17-years-olds from Hamburg. Already way too good and clever.

2 Die Toten Hosen “Battle Of The Bands” (1985)

This one was the soundtrack to my fun and first booze times on school trips when i was on secondary school.

3Slime “Alle gegen Alle”( 1983)

100% street fight punk rock. Breaking walls!

4 Trio “Trio” (1982)

Neue Deutsche Well – German New Wave. So unbelievable simple and good.

5 Beastie Boys “Paul’s Boutique” (1989)

After “Licence To Ill” i was first confused about this record to follow… Couldn’t handle this view in the future.

6 Dire Straits “Money For Nothing”( 1985)

All in all this is my mother’s fault to know it. I hated Mark Knopflers guitar play more than anything else. But seeing this first 3D-animation video of the titel song was blasting!

7 Fischer-Z “Red Skies Over Paradise” ( 1981)

A stalker is torturing this woman “Marlese” he is after. Nice one!

8 Hijack “The Horns Of Jericho”(1991)

The anthem we were singing right after we had done train painting action. The-the-the-the–the terrorist group!

9 Klingonz “Flange” (1995)

I tried to get my hair done like them but mine is just too wavy, damn.

10 N.O.T.A. “None Of Them Above”

Just straight-in-your- face mid-80′s hardcore punk. Nothing more – nothing less.

11 Bomb The Bass “Beat This” (1987)

My dad had this video on tape and i stopped it several times when you can see some guys in there doing graffiti. I just copied the graff characters and painted them at the next pedestriant tunnel.

12 Bad Religion “No Control”(1989)

Reminds me of creeping under the concert stage to get to the other side where no security was keeping people away from stage diving.

13 NOFX “Longest Line” (1992)

14 Pixies “Surfer Rosa & Come On Pilgrim” 1988

All Pixies’ records are genuis but i pick this one because of… come on! Just look at the cover! That used to be my teenager’s room poster.

15 Napalm Death “Menthally Murdered” (1989)

I’ve never been to much into grindcore or death metal (or whatever you call it) but this song “Missing Link” was and still is the shit!
